My Beauty Weakness!

Why is it that I seem to spend more money on make-up when there is a 3 for 2 offer than any other time?! But they are my weakness. During the 3 for 2 offer on Soap and Glory I treated my self (again) to a few goodies I had been eyeing up for a while. The first being the Kick Ass Instant Retouched Pressed Powder. I bought this in the hope that it would brighten up my ever so dark undereye area as it is slightly yellow toned. Although it works great to set my corrector and concealer I didn’t really notice any difference in the overall brightness.

Kick Ass Instant Retouch Pressed Powder - £12
WonderBronze – This is a mosaic size bronzer where the shades are similar to that of the Bobbie Brown shimmer brick. It's beautiful array of bronzey shades in combination with the shimmer give a gorgeous sun kissed healthy glow to the face! The flawless face brush (bare minerals) is amazing in applying this product and blending it, I dust it over my cheeks and bring it up towards my temples. I will defo be repurchasing this!
Wonderbronze Shimmer Brick - £11

Finally, we come to the Thick and Fast Mascara, £10. On it’s own the product didn’t wow me, but this coupled with the 17 Blow Out from Superdrug gave me the longest curliest lashes any mascara has ever given me! The S&G will give you length and the 17 mascara fabulous thickness.

These products are the first Soap and Glory products I have ever tried and they did not disappoint. I have heard great reviews about the Super Cat eyeliner and cannot wait to try that!

Coco…what now??

Say good bye to your trusty Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish because I am about to introduce to you the best cleanser on the market today! For the past 6 months I have been using coconut oil religiously every night to remove all of my makeup. You heard me right, COCONUT OIL. This stuff is amazing! It literally melts the make-up off your face, leaving it fresh, clean and make-up free! The best part is you can pick it up from so many high street stores from as little as £2!! I bought the organic Tiana oil from Holland and Barrett when it was half price. Trust me guys this stuff lasts ages!!!

Holland and Barrett - TIANA Extra Virgin Coconut Oil 500ml - £16.55

After washing my face with water, and occasionally The Body Shop Foaming Tea Tree Cleanser, I pat my face dry with a face cloth and massage an almond sized amount of coconut oil into my face after melting it between my fingers.  I then gently wipe it off with the same face cloth, which I dampen slightly before-hand.
I can now say that the battle between cleanser and waterproof mascara is over.

Be Gone Dull Sallow Skin!!!

Mac Mineralise Skin Finish - Soft and Gentle - £23

After 50 ba-j-illion years of searching, I have found it! THE BEST, MOST PRETTIEST HIGHLIGHTER EVER!!! I have always wanted that perfect J-Lo glow but for me drugstore highlighters have just not cut it, the main problem being the size of the glitter particles in the product.

Mac’s Soft and Gentle is a product highly raved about in the beauty community and as a make-up noob I decided to trust the reviews of my most fav bloggers and vloggers. At £23, I have to say it isn’t the cheapest highlighter on the market, with cheaper alternatives from MUA and Makeup Revolution (available at Superdrug), but it is definitely worth every single penny. It’s described as a ‘luxurious velvet-soft powder with high-frost metallic finish’ and I’m happy to say it is that and so much more. Not only is it highly pigmented, it is also easily blendable for an everyday subtle glow. As I have dull sallow skin, this product just gives it that oomph it so desperately needs. I can just tell that this will be a staple in my make-up bag for a very long time :)
